Whether you’re shopping for him or her this Valentine’s Day, we’ve got you covered. On Saturday night, Feb. 13, stop in for Love Bites, a shopping and sipping party to benefit Slow Food Charleston.

Our annual pre-Valentine’s Day event is designed to get you ready for the Hallmark holiday of the year.  But you won’t find any sappy Hallmark cards at this party. Instead, Ink Meets Paper will be on hand with locally made letterpress cards (and free calligraphy), and Flowershop will be putting together arrangements so pretty your special someone will swoon with appreciation.

Grassroots Wine will be pouring a fabulous collection of growers champagne, which will be available for purchase along with handcrafted treats from Cacao’s Artisan Chocolate. ReGeneration Beauty Spa will be offering 10 percent off of services for gift certificates purchased at Love Bites. The Market is also stocked with plenty of gifts from local brands like Sideshow Press and Bittermilk, and we’ll have jewelry

This year’s Love Bites will also be a Slow Sips Happy Hour event to benefit Slow Food Charleston. Ten percent of sales will be donated along with proceeds from a Love Bites Basket that will be raffled off to one lucky lover.

Slow Food Charleston is one of more than 200 non-profit chapters that comprise the international organization Slow Food USA. Slow Food Charleston has been active for over eight years and during this time, has mainly focused on preserving and sharing the love of local foods and Lowcountry traditions.
